Making the Team by Trinity

I love it when there is a new source for hockey papers!  Trinity has a line called Making The Team that has been designed for multiple sports (hockey, football, basketball, soccer, etc.).  Of course I took advantage of the hockey aspect of this line.  This line really doesn't need a lot added to it so it's quick and easy to put together pages.  Here's what I created:

On the double page LO I photoshopped (CS4) the photos to have a vintage spin.  It can sometimes be difficult to match those jerseys to paper so I switched up the colours a little.  I think the vintage photos work great with this paper.

Both LOs are based on  Let's Scrap Sketches.  Play like a Girl is Sketch 9-5-12 and Hockey is Sketch 8-22-12. (Thank you Let's Scrap for such wonderful sketches!)

Supplies
All patterned paper and stickers - Trinity (Making the Team)
Letter stickers - Thickers, Paper Trunk
Die Cut Letters - Quickuts (Eliza) cut on my Sizzix
Ink - Tim Holtz
Brads, button and rick rack from my stash

For taking a peek at my blog, I thank you!

A little bit of sewing

For the last little while the sewing bug has bitten me.  Probably a good thing seeing that it was back in the spring I promised the neighbour girl I would make her an apron for her birthday.  A few weeks ago I finally got to it.  I made an apron for Dani and her American Girl Bitty Doll, and one for my daughter and her American Girl McKenna doll. The girls were thrilled.

I used patterns from Cindy Taylor Oats' Taylor Made Retro Aprons for Kids book.  I've used this book several times and really like it.  I actually have another apron all cut out to be sew - one for my son!

Thanks for taking a peek!

I'm a Doodlebug fan!

There is no doubt that Doodlebug is one of my favourite manufacturers!  And it has been for years.  A few months ago I worked with the Sugar and Spic line and just love it  Don't think of it as being just for girls - those colours and patterns are very versatile!

Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my work!

Bo Bunny Little Miss

So much for posting what I've created in the last couple of months.  Here's what I've done in the last couple of days.  I have to say I really like Bo Bunny, but the Little Miss line is a little too girlie girl and too vintage for my "normal" scrappy style.  However, after giving it a try I found it really fun to work with!  If you're a local all these items are on display at Lila's.

All patterned paper is Bo Bunny (except the light one used in the banner - Basic Grey)
flowers, stickers - Bo Bunny (except the odd Prima flower)
chenille yarn - from my stash
pom pom trim -  MM (I think)
buttons - from my stash
Cricut - everyday paper dolls, wild cards.

I've been crafting!

I've been crafting I just haven't been posting.  In the next few posts I'll be sharing projects I've created over the last 3 or so months.
I recently had the chance to work with Trinity Paper Arts- a newer company, and new to me.  It was my first time playing with them and I love their Sincerely line.  It's designed as a wedding line but Lila wanted to see it used in other ways too - and seeing that this was for her store, I tried to be a little unconventional.

This card was inspired by the sketch (7-18-12) at Let's Scrap

Supplies
All patterned Paper and sticker letters - Trinity Paper Arts
Ribbons, dew drops - from my stash
Flowers - Prima
Dies - Cricut, Nestabilities
Digi Images - Tiddly Inks, Pink Cat Studio

A little Embarrassing

Ooops, I just signed into my blog which I haven't done in a while - a much longer while than I thought.  I could give the list of excuses but honestly 2012 has had some rough days and my mojo decided to take a hike.  I have done some scrapping in this extended absence but not as much as I would have liked.  But I do have some fun stuff to share!  Let's hope I can check in more regularly now that life has settled a bit!

As you can tell I've changed a few things up and I'm also looking for a new header and background.  Does anyone know of any good sites for freebies?

So here goes with some scrappy stuff.  I recently worked with the My Mind's Eye Good Day Sunshine Line.  It really is a fun line!  Here's some of what I came up with:

Tinsel glitter is one of those things that I've always thought was really "neat" - so I had to have it, but I've never used it.  I could never quite figure out what to do with it.  I've now discovered that it makes great stars!  All I did was place a tiny dab of mono glue on the cardstock and then cover it in tinsel glitter.  And then there were stars!

Supplies
all patterned paper - My Mind's Eye
die cut letters - Cricut
die cut shapes - Nestabilities
bling - Bo Bunny
background stamp - unknown
ink - versamark
embossing powder - Judikins
tinsel glitter - Clearsnaps
star punch - Marvy
button - American Crafts

Thanks for taking a look at my work after such a long hiatus in posting!
